Hunting Report!!10/03/09

Giant Kajang - The racks have not changed much since the last time I reported the bad bagger there but I noticed that there were about 3 promo boxes brought out and arranged on the shelves. Look through it and A SUPER PLYMOUTH inside. Woo hooo!!! I cas see that someone tampered witht the sticker but then gave up as Giant have taped up their promobox from top to bottom...phew


Last year another forummer wanted my plymouth due to some "emergency" and so out of a good heart, I painfully traded it away but anyway now I have found another one and its as if its come back to me. This super is the best super thunt of 2008 in my opinion and I am glad to find it again.


Jusco Cheras Selatan- well just 3 words - nothing, nothing, nothing EXCEPT an error grey dodge van where the front wheel is fully red and a mitsubishi EVO X Color Shifter.


Tesco Kajang - Still struggling wto clear the DK wave....70% full. It looks to be that way for a while.

A Very Nice Find!

One of the nicest cars I reckon, and its just my opinion is the surfin series woodie van/truck. Why? Because its rather detailed especially the surfbords, the paintjob(bright orangie brightens up your day), the contrast with the upper half brown roof. It sparks the classic look. Just simply awesome.



There are 2 surfboards one is bigger than the other, one for the dad and the other for the son perhaps? Simply love this whole casting.

I love it so much I just had to take it apart, you know, just to see what on the inside. hehe

First off, the roof rack can be detached easily from the roof and reattached.

Its like "Hey son, ready to go surfing"....
Then the top passenger cpmpartment can be removed from the truck as well, I yanked it a little and it broke at the tip, just a little and enough to remove the ewhole passenger's compartment from the truck.

Inside the passengers compartment, further dismantling will result in a few more parts being seperated like the picture shows....This babay can be a good candidate for a custom job.

And then you come to the bare die cast itself, looks like it can undergo some customising as well....

How about this!!

Was at Jusco equine park just now and got myself a subaru police matchbox as well as a gold 350z. However the price has hiked back up to RM5.90. Earlier it was stated that the RM3.90 promotion would last till the 31 March. What gives?? The sales person could not give me an answer when I asked her why the price increased?? There are many cars left on the racks, about 105%(meaning they look like they are about to fall off the racks hehe) for both mb and hw. But they are all from the old wave and for hotwheels its 07 wave.

Bad Bagger Treasure Hunt Wave

On the way back home today, I decided to stop by a nearby Giant in Kajang and indeed it was a good decision because they have just restocked. I managed to get a thunt bad bagger this time round and it was great seeing it for the first time. They only restocked 1 box so what you see is what is not there anymore. There are a few cars I did not get as I foresee an overflow of these cars and I can get them later or I just did not fancy them.





Well my first thunt of 09 is the bad bagger. Its beautiful to look at and to own. Very nice.


Other cars that I liked are the ferrari 512 and the Cougar eliminator. The 512 is nice to lookat but however not as hefty as I would have preferred. Its a lightweight. The cougar, although I don't really fancy american muscle, is realy realy nice. The paint job, the look and the shape are just great plus the tampos on it makes it one american car I will collect. Mattel did the right thing with this model.


Another model that I find worth mentioning is the '40s woodie sufr's up series. The moment you pick it up, the first thing you feel is its weight, its almost as heavy as the vw fastback plus the details on the surfboard is just awesome. Its a work of art which I appreciate. Another good job Mattel.
