Treasure Hunts & A Surprise

Look what arrived in the mail today.

Its good to have trades now and again with really cool guys like elgee and kukubeh. Since I have a certain X amount of vw fastback, I have used some to trade with the guys in the Hot Wheels Collectors Malaysia Forum. So thanks to kukubeh for the thunt hotbird and to elgee for the error car thunt cadillac 16 plus a surprise tomica car gift. Since I have been following most of what goes on in the forums since last year, I already knew that the ae86 car would not be inside but I had forgotten what was inside so its still a surprise to me...haha

Anyway here is elgee's explanation concerning this tomy car.

7-11 Restock??

I was just wondering if 7-11 is restocking its hotwheels and matchbox. Well after scouring my area's 7-11 in kajang and balakong, I have found that some 7-11 are indeed restocking. Although in this chinese new year promo, there are no promotions for hotwheels but indeed they are restocking in some 7-11, hotwheels and matchbox diecast cars. I even managed to snag me a regular hotbird along with the black civic in one of the 7-11.

Some of my favorite haul this time round are the GMC Wrecker and the Routemaster.


But what a pity, the card on the thunt hotbird is damaged. It looked like somebody tore it or in the process of unpacking, tore from the top of the card to somewhere in the middle. Such disrespect towards a thunt....hmmmph....haha.

ERROR CARD

This is my first hotwheels Error card. I have a few Error cars but only one error card. Error cards are probably not that big a deal here in Asia. I find it a bigger deal in the states but I could be wrong.


However to add to the excitement, this error card comes with none other than a super T-hunt Hotbird. A super thunt hotbird on a super thunt dodge viper card. Yes you heard it right. Apparently someone said that it could fetch a good price after 10 years. I am not too sure about that, that guy could just be kidding. Anyway from what I can find on ebay, there are no super treasure hunt error cards that I can compare with to know roughly how much its worth. However selling it is not on my mind for now. I will just keep this as a hotwheels hunting souvenir....haha
